Alabama Power Company has reviewed the current Farley Nuclear Plant procedures associated with post trip review in view of the results of NUREG-0977 (Salem Event) and discussions with the NRC Staf f. As a result of this review, the appropriate procedures will be modified to document present practices and more fully address the following items:

1. information available for post trip review
2. criteria against which post trip results are reviewed
3. identification of review persons / groups and timeliness of review
4. identification of significant aspects of trip conditions prior to return to criticality Such modifications will be made within thirty days of the date of this letter and submitted for NRC Staf f review.
