Dear Mr. DiMento:

I have received your map of the proposed Perry-Maced 6nia and Perry-Hanna transmission lines, together with the list of National Register places in the vicinity of the proposed lines.

In Portage County, there is an omission: Garrettsville vicinity, Ellenwood House, 1.4 kilometer west of Route 88 on Route 82.

i In Summit County, #4A Jonathan Herrick House has been dismantled and removed; it may be omitted.

When you described the routes to me, I did not realize that they .

pass through areas where there has been intensive survey over the l past year. At least 165 places have been entered in the Ohio Historic Inventory within the zones indicated on your map. On the enclosed sample fo
m you will note that Items 12 and 14 indicate an opinion on the eligiblity of the property for the National Register.

l Item 9 indicates the UTM coordinates so that each property can be l easily located.

I regret that our staff limitations do not permit a complete search to collate this information for you. The forms are located at the Ohio Historic Preservation Office in Columbus, and copies are located in this office. Your representative is welcome to consult these forms at either of the offices by appointment.

Sincerely, '

N Eric oh nesen Pres v ion Officer cc: SHPO A -
