Power Plant, Unit 1.

The revised ISI Program Plan has been retitled " Inservice Examination Program" l j (ISEP) and hasLbeen incorporated into PNPP's Operations Manual, Volume OM7D. j Attachment 1 provides.a summary of changes to PNPP's inservice examination program encompassed:by this revision. No reduction to the work scope of the 9 PNPP programs _have-been made as a result ~of this revision,.and no new-relief  ;

< requests are included.' Since the program has now been incorporated into our Operations Manual, it is being reissued, and it replaces in-its entirety the

' previous-ISI' Program Plan-submitted via letter PY-CEI/NRR-0614L on March 31, u .1987 and' approved by the NRC on April 25, 1930. PNPP's revised inservice examination program continues to comply with 10 CFR 50.55a and Section XI of l 4  ;

-the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, 1983 Edition, Summer 1983 Addenda. I Because PNPP's ISI Program Plan is a controlled document, please replace your  !

A. comprehensive document containing all- components subject to ASME Section' XI in-service examination and inspection requ.trements with the exception of pumps, valves,-' snubber functional tests and specific system pressure tests,- 7

-% ~ vhich are delineated in separate PNPP aaministrative procedures. In addition,'  ;

. augmented component inspection requirements beyond~the minimum requirements of ,

ASME Section XI, have been reorganized-for clarity and incorporated into the 3 program to provide for ease of administration and control. Augmented items I are those items subject to examination requirements as the result of PNPP  ;

commitments to various~ documents, e.g., NUREG's, Regulatory Guides, SILs, etc.

The following is a summary of the changes made to PNPP's ISI Program. J (1) ISI Program re-titled as Inservice Examination Program (ISEP) and incorporated into PNPP Operations Manuali Volume OM7D. i (2) All ASME Section XI nonexempt components and component parts incorporated into ISEP to provide a comprehensive document containing all components subject. to ASME Section XI examination and ' inspection requirements with j exceptions noted above. (Previous program only listed those non-exempt I components and component parts rglected for examination).

l (3) ISI' boundary drawings (P& ids) inwrporated into ISEP. l (4)' Isometric Drawings revised and incorporated into ISEP.

(5) -Inservice Examination Tables updated by (1) incorporation of revised isometric drawing identification numbers,-(2) deletion of calibration i block column (3) deletion of' relief requests column, and (4) replacement of scheduling criteria from " outage" to " period". l (6) Relief requests incorporated into ISE7.

(7)' Relief requests revised by incorporation of epplicable reference to ISEP and incormration of revised isometric drawing numbers.

(8)' Snubber ISI (Tech Spec) requirements incorporated into ISEP with exception of functional tests.

(9) General requirements of system pressure tests incorporated into ISEP.

(Specific pressure test requirements contained in separate volume of PNPP Operations Manual).

(10) Augmented component inspectior guirements reorganized for clarity and incorporated into ISEP as t', -.1 bed above.

(11) Incorporated additional ASME Section XI items identified by project personnel as appropriate for inclusion into PNPP's ISEP.

(12) Revised the schedule for component supports to provide for 100%

examination of ASME Section XI and augmented component supports within PNPP's first 10-year inspection interval.
