and J.J. Colitz (TMI Unit 1 Superintendent) at 1930 hours0.0223 days <br />0.536 hours <br />0.00319 weeks <br />7.34365e-4 months <br />, July 17, 1975.

The following report is submitted in accordance with paragraph 6.7.2.a.4

(page 6-11) of the Technical Specifications.

On July 16, 1975, while returning the Nuclear Services River &!ater Pump B (NR-P-4B) to service follcwing routine proventive maintenance, the pins discharge valve (NR-V-13) failed to open when the pe:np was started. Sub-scquent investigation revealed that the valve motor winding resistance to grcund was icw and evidence of motor winding overheating was present. The motor en the valve operator was replaced and the valve was successfully tested.

The cause of the motor failure is being investigated.
