Dear Mr. O'Reilly -

This telegram is to confirm the telecon between Lee Spessard (Region I-NRC),

and J.J. Colitz (THE Unit 1 Superintendent) at 1430 hours0.0166 days <br />0.397 hours <br />0.00236 weeks <br />5.44115e-4 months <br /> 21' August 1975.

The following report is submitted in accordance with paragraph 6.7.2.a.2

. (page 6-11) of the-Technical Specifications.

On August 21, 1975, during a routine inspection of the Auxiliary Building, a pin hole leak was found in the socket weld joint where the A Maketo Pump suction line vent connects to the pu:::p suction header.

This is consic;ared an Abnamal Occurrence degredation of a boundary designed to contain radioactive liquid.

The leak is being repaired and a hydroslater test will be perfomed' following weld repair of the vent line.

An investigation is being conducted into the reasons for recurring f-" Tc7f'

in the vent line to header connection weld.

On completion of 'the imutigation appropriate corrective action will be initiated.
