The background noise originates from the air conditioning ducts located in the control room ceiling. Alabama Power Company will relocate the volume control diffusers and rebalance the flow rates throughout the system before exceeding 5% power. This relocation and rebalancing should reduce the background noise to an acceptable level. Alabama Power Company will perform a confirmatory sound survey to verify that the noise level is at an acceptable level before exceeding 5% power.
