In accordance with the requirements set forth in 10CFR50, Section 50.55a(g), Alabama Power Company hereby submits seven (7) copies of Revision 4 to the document entitled, " Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant -
Unit No. 1 Inservice Testing Program".
Revision 4 incorporates minor wording changes to some of the relief requests included in previous revisions. In addition, Revision 4 contains further reliefs which are proposed for implementation. These changes and other minor editorial corrections are described in the enclosed summary sheets.
It is hereby requested that the subject program, as revised, be approved and the ASME Section XI Code relief requested be granted pursuant to Section 50.55a(g)(6)(1) of 10CFR50.
This proposed revision is designated as Class III in accordance with 10CFR170.22 : equirements.          Enclosed is a check for $4,000.00 to cover the total amount of fees required.

Description / Reason for Change Page 2-7: Paragraph 2.1.1.1 was rewritten to add that the 1980 Edition of Section XI requires a test frequency of once every three months.
Page 2-11: Relief Request 2.1.9 was rewritten to delete the reference to the Technical Specification. The Technical Specification was amended which resulted in the deletion of an AFW pump testing requirement in addition to those required by Section XI.
Page 3-1: Additional Category "E" valves were added to agree with those which were previously submitted on Unit 2 and deleted valve Q1N23V001I because it does not exist.
Page 3-2, 3-3, 3-16, 3-23, 3-28, 3-29, 3-42, 3-44, 3-60, 3-67, 3-71, 3-73, 3-77:
Test alternate was changed from "RR" (test each reactor refueling outage) to "NT" (no testing required) in order to clarify the intent b            of Relief Request 3.1.3 for the following valves: Q1813V038, Q1B13V054, Q1E14V001,Q1E21V058,Q1E21V115A-C,Q1E21V119,Q1E21V213,Q1G21V204, Q1G21V291,Q1G31V013,Q1P11V002,Q1P16V075,Q1P17V083,Q1P17V159,and Q1P19V002.
Pages 3-16 and 3-17: The normal position for valves Q1E14V003 and Q1E14V004 was changed from "C" (closed) to "0" (open). This corrects a previous clerical error.
l Pages 3-21, 3-23,3-31: Relief Requests 3.1.32 and 3.1.33 were added to valves f                Q1E21V015, Q1E21V056A&B, Q1E21V254, Q1E21V257, & Q1E21V258. These Relief Requests were inadvertently omitted on a previous revision for these valves.
Pages 3-21 and 3-103:    Relief Requests 3.1.49, 3.1.32, and 3.1.33 were added to Table V-1 for valves Q1E21V016A&B. Relief Request 3.1.49 explains why these valves should not be tested during normal plant operation.

Page 3-45: The "P&IDf Sheet Number" was changed from "D-175003/1 to "D-175033/1" for valve Q1N11V001C. This corrects a previous clerical error.
Page 3-50: Valves Q1N12HV3234A&B were deleted from the testing program. These valves aie considered not to be safety related and thus need not be tested.
Page 3-51: The valve category was changed from "C" to "BC" and the actuator type was changed from "SA" to "M0/SA" on valves Q1N21V001A-C. These changes correct previous errors.
Pages 3-65, 3-66, 3-68, 3-104: Relief Requests 3.1.52, 3.1.32, and 3.1.33 were added to Table V-1 for valves Q1P16V010A-D, Q1P16V043A-D, and O                otetsv2o7^-o Reiier Re9uest 3.1.52 explains why these valves should not be tested during normal plant operation.
Pages 3-67: Added "CS" (cold shutdown) for the test alternate for valve Q1P16V081. This was previously inadvertently omitted.
Pages 3-68, 3-69, and 3-104: Relief Requests 3.1.53, 3.1.32, and 3.1.33 were added to Table V-1 for valves Q1P16V514, V515, V516, and V517. Relief Request 3.1.53 explains why these valves should not be tested during normal plant operation.
Page3-70: Valves Q1P16V536 and V537 were added to the testing program because their ability to function is considered necessary.
Pages 3-73, 3-74, 3-75, 3-102: Relief Requests 3.1.46, 3.1.32, and 3.1.33 were added to Table V-1 for valves Q1P17HV3067, HV3095, and HV3443. Relief Request 3.1.46 explains why these valves should not be tested during normal plant operation.
