Response to Generic Letter 83-28.

Dear Mr. Knighton:

This letter provides additional information to aid in your review of our response (Reference 2) to Generic Letter 83-28.

Item 1.1 of Generic letter 83-28 requests a description of the post-trip review pzogram. A description of our program in response to Items 1.1.1, 1.1.2; 1.1.4, 1.1.5, 1.1.6 and a copy of the procedures in response to Item 1.1.7 will be provided prior to initial criticality. These procedures are approved.

Post-maintenance testing for all safety-related components other than the reactor trip system components is addressed in Item 3.2. All the required test and maintenace procedures (for Item 3.2) for safety related equipment will be reviewed and approved prior to startup from the first refueling outage.

A description of the preventative maintenance, surveillance and trending of parameters program for the reactor trip breakers is requested by Items 4.2.1 and 4.2.2. Details regarding these programs will be provided prior to initial criticality.
