Please find enclosed the evaluation of the ASME Class 3 Valves in Class 2 systems at Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Unit 2. This was reported as a possible significant deficiency to Mr. M. D. Hunt on November 7, 1979, and as a significant deficiency on December 21, 1979.
This evaluation includes the requirements of both 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR Part 21, and concludes that there is a significant deficiency and substantial safety hazard. The evaluation also includes the corrective action that has been taken or will be taken to alleviate the problem.
