SUBJECT:

FATAL AMBULANCE WRECK At approximately 10:45 p.m., CST, the Mississippi Power and Light Company (MP&L) site ambulance enroute ; to a hospital with a laborer (heart attack victim) was involved in an accident. Three of the four' occupants were killed. The status of the laborer is not known ut. this time.

Media interest is expected due to the involvement of the site ambulance. No news release is planned by the lic.ensee or NRC.

The projec21s 85% complete. The State of Mississippi and OSHA have been informed.

Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by telephone from MP&L at 12:05 p.m. on March 19, 1980.
