SUBJECT:
BOMB THREAT
.. At 11:40 a.m. (CDT) on September 30 an anonymous telephone call was received at the construction contractor (Bechtel) switchboard.
The caller: stated that "there is a bomb in the reactor room." No time of detonation-was given. An immediate search was conducted.
No explosives were.found and the site was not evacuated.

Grand Gulf is under construction and has no fuel on site.
The facility is located about 55 miles S.W. of Jackson, Mississippi.

The licensee notified the Federal Bureau of InvesMgation.
There has been no media interest.
Region II infonned the State of Mississippi on September 30. Region II does not plan to issue a news release.
.The IAT was notified.
Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by tele-phone from a licensee representative at 4:10 p.m. on September 30.
