Dear Jennifer K. Wheeler:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has developed a programmatic request for additional information (RAI) provided as set eight to support the Integrated Safety Analysis review of the TRISO-X, LLC safety and safeguards license application. Your application for a new fuel fabrication facility located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee was submitted via letter dated April 5, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML22101A200) and supplemented by letters dated October 13, 2022 (ML22286A144),

November 4, 2022 (ML22308A251) and February 29, 2024 (ML24060A239).

Please consider providing your draft response to the RAI in advance of the formal response letter and holding a meeting with us to ensure mutual understanding of the response. The RAI response is due within 30 days of the date of this letter.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2 Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter and the public enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
