Generic Letter No. 85-19, dated September 27, 1985.

Dear Mr. Denton:

Attachment 1 to this letter is a proposed amendment to Pacility Operating License Nos. DPR-39 and DPR-48, Appendix A, Sections 3.3.6 (Specific Activity) and Section 6.0 (Administrative Controls). This change will modify the Zion Technical Specifications in accordance with the guidance contained in the referenced letter. In addition, the reporting requirements regarding iodine spiking and a number of other minor administrative changes are also included. These minor administrative changes include correction of I position titles, special reporting requirement changes, and the specific j activity reporting requirements discussed above. Attachment 2 supplies a detailed discussion of each of the changes contained in this proposed amendment.

Attachment 3 to this letter is a demonstration that the issue involves no significant hazards consideration. The proposed amendment has I received On-site and Off-site review and approval.

In accordance with 10 CFR 170, a fee remittance in the amount of

$150.00 is enclosed. As provided by 10 CFR 50.91, the State of Illinois is l being notified of this amendment request by transmittal of this letter and the attachments.
