SUBJECT:
DAILY HIGHLIGHT Diablo Canyon - Brush Fire Near San Luis Obispo The brush fire near the city of San Luis Obispo is approximately 10 miles ENE from the Diablo Canyon site. As of Monday afternoon the fire was approaching State Highway 101 from the east. Parts of the city have been evacuated. The airport was temporarily closed due to heavy air traffic associated with the fire fighting. - On July 4th transmission via the Midway.
line to the east was switched temporarily to the Gates line to the north for precautionary reasons. Unit 1 is operating at 100 percent power.
PG&E is monitoring the situation.
