Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Unresolved Item (456/78-04-01) - Material cectification on five i identified beams was not available on site. The inspector reviewed the I certification for these beams identified as A429B1, A429B2, A429B3, A439B4 and A429B5 and observed the use of the Bill of Material identi-fication through the' traceability code to the documentation and verification of the heat numbers by S&L. S&L is programing the documentation for the structural steel for storage by computer progra Documentation for the five beams above was available on sit (Closed) Noncompliance (456/77-08-01; 457/77-08-01) - The inspector observed the. pipe storage area noted in the citation and found it to be dry. The licensee had graded the area to improve the drainage and had replaced the dunnage under the pipe to prevent the pipe becoming submerge (Closed) Noncompliance (457/77-07-01) - Three polar crane bracket assemblies were observed to have incompletely fused root welds although the fabrication drawings specified full penetration velds. The results are documented in IE Report Nos. 50-456/77-08 and 50-457/77-0 (Closed) Unresolved Item (Reference IE Report No. 50-456/77-05) - The inspector discussed the repair of these weldments and the NDE with licensee QA/QC representatives. He was informed that all weldments received full magnetic particle examinations and were reviewed and accepted by the authorized inspector. The NRC inspector observed the test results, heat treatment and repair procedures on each site visit during the repair period. These weldments are now in place and embedded in concret (Open) Unresolved Item (456/78-03-02; 457/78-03-02) - The Commonwealth Edison Electrical Construction Test Procedure Manual has been revised to define the qualification training requirements for test personnel and modified to include. procedure No. 24, Rev. O to assure that the insulation resistance of power cables is tested during constructio The inspector could not determine if the effective period of qualifi-cation would be specified for the test personne Also, procedure No. 24, Rev. O, paragraph 1.2 specifically excludes control cables frue insulation resistance testing. i The inspector observed a portion of the concrete pour completing

the dome on the Unit 1 containment. The concrete was placed by ,

pumping and with a slump approaching the minimum specified to control the consistency and workability of the concrete on the slope of the dome. The shape of the dome was obtained by contouring the fresh concrete to previously placed grade stake l Adequate QC personnel were available to cover work at the batch plant, unloading site and placement site.
