SUBJECT:

WATERFORD OUTSTANDING ISSUES SCHEDULES Enclosed is a proposed schedule for reaching the necessary licensing decisions at the Waterford plant. This schedule is extremely condensed and shows a licensing decision date by the end of April.

Included are the resolution of allegations, completion of inspections, an FSAR SER supplement, response to the hearing motions, and a technical decision on basemat cracks. The only item not currently scheduled is the publication of CAT findings and their resolution. We are working closely with the utility and CAT staff to promptly identify the issues, forward them to the applicant, and seek his response detailing his resolution of them.

None of these schedules will be changed without specific approval by you.

In addition, I am planning to forward them to the licensee and all involved staff members.
