1 In regard to your concern about the SQRT site visit schedule for Grand Gulf, EQC has a prioritized schedule for review'of the applicant's submittal, which i
is dependent on the issuance date of their SER. The fact that Grand Gulf applicant submitted their response prior to the required date does not mandate the change of this review priority. With this in mindt EQB nevertheless conducted a general review of the Grand Gulf submittal and indicated to the PM for Grand Gulf that the information concerning the Required Response Spectra was missing.
(The information subsequently received from the PM was found to be outdated and incomplete and was so indicated to the PM. The ~ updated version was received.,

J Due to the limited staff resources availabic (from NRC and INEL) for the detai_ led review of the plants assigned to EQB, each reviewer can review only one plant at a time. The unexpected departure of key personnel from NRC necessitated the EQB reviewer to assume additional responsibilities which were necessary to facilitate meeting previous scheduling commitments'.
In view of the above, the EQB reviewer has suggested to the Grand Gulf PM thatz a renlistic date for the Grand Gulf site visit be the week of July 13,1981, i
which is one week later than the tentative schedule listed in memo from V. Noonan.
to R. Tedesco dated March 16, 1981. The PM however indicated that due to the unavailability of the applicant (due to planned vacations), the site visit for,
the week of July 13, 1981 is inappropriate. EQB therefore would like to propose that the site visit for Grand Gulf to be the week of July 20, 1981.
It should be un6rstood that the proposed site visit is contingent upon receipt of the infor-mation requested previously from the applicants by EQ8's March 16, 1981, memorandum,(
which delineates the 4nformation that must be provided in order to complete a site audit.
