This letter provides twelve (12) copies of the non proprietary version of NEDC-30641A, "The Conceptual Design for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Emergency and Plant Information Computer (EPIC) Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS)". The proprietary version of this report was previously transmitted to you under separate cover.
The proprietary information that was deleted from this version of the report is of the type which General Electric maintains in confidence and withholds from public disclosure. The deleted proprietary sections contained detailed engineer-ing analyses in the areas of the display configuration, human factors plan, and overall verification / validation plan as well as information on detailed display processing and data validation methodology. Withholding the specifics of the processes and analyses mentioned above allow GE to maintain a competitive economic advantage in this area as described in the affidavit which accompanied the proprietsry version of this report.
