j In Reference "A", Boston Edison Company (BECo) committed to complete a modification during refueling outage 12 to replace the residual heat removal spray flow indicators and associated instrumentation with state of the art equipment to lower the instrument uncertainty to be in compliance with R.G.1.105 (Violation No, l.C.4). The proposed indicators failed quality assurance assessments for digital verification, b
validation, and control of software. The proposed modification can be completed on-line. Procurement of quality compliant indicators is proceeding with a different vendor with a planned October 1999 completion date.
