In Reference "A", Boston Edison Company (BECo) committed to perform a comprehensive self-assessment of the Maintenance Rule improvement Program to provide further assurance that full compliance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.65 are being met. At the time of the submittal, BECo's projected completion date was April 15,1999. On April 15,1999, sixty-two system self-assessments and all supervisory self-assessments had been completed. The final five system self-assessments required to fulfill the commitment were completed on April 22,1999. The completion of the last five systems was delayed by high priority Refueling Outage No.12 preparatory work.
We have apprised the NRC resident inspectors of these changes in more detail as part of the routine interface activity. Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
