The University of Missouri Rewarch Reactor (MURR) has applied for a unique purpose exemption pursunut to 10CFR50.04(c)(1) in a letter dated September 20.1980. This application, plus additional supporting information, is currently under review by the Nuclear llegulatory Commission (NRC).

Since this review process may extend past March 27,1992, the University of Missourt Researth Reactor is complying w;th 10CFR50.04(c)(2)(it) by submitting a et p/ of the Departruent of Energy Iciter to MURR. dated February 19,1992, notifying the licensee that Fecleral Pimds for conversion of our reactor will not be availab!c during Fiscal Year 1992.

This submittal and attachment constitutes MURIrs resymse for Fiscal Year 1992. The MURR will .

respond again prior to Marrh 27,1993 as per IOCFR50.64(c)(2) unless a detemiination is made by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that our facility should be granted a unique, nupose exemption.
