Docket 50-186 University of Missouri Research Reactor License R-103
SUBJECT:
Research Center Director-The University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) appointed Dr. Edward A. Deutsch as the Director of the MU Research Reactor (MURR) effective December 1,1997. As shown in the enclosed curriculum vitae, he brings to the position a strong background in business management and academic resetrch. in both arenas he has demonstrated the ability to make significant advancements in radiopharmaceutical research and development while complying with and meeting federal regulations. We are confident that he can provide the dicection to the strong MURR team to make further contributions which are in keeping with the Atomic Energy Act goals for research reactors. Dr. Deutsch's management team includes Mr. J. Charles McKibben, Associate Director for Rescaith Opecations, to whom he has delegated the responsibility for reactor operations and licensed activities.
