Dear Sir:

This is in response to the September 12,1996 U.S. NRC Region III Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty $8,000 (U.S. Department of Labor Case Nos. 94-ERA-034 and 94-ERA-036) [EA 94-121] concerning activities at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). In accordance with 10 CFR 2. 205, attached is a check for $8,000 in payment of this civil penalty.
