Dear Mr. Keppler:

Our letter to you dated May 28, 1982, states that our f Lnal report concerning f the selsmic test fallure of the starting air check valve supplied by Wm.

Powell Company is scheduled to be submitted to your of fice by September 1, 1982.

As discussed with Mr. P. Pelke of your of fice on Augus t 30, 1982, our final report is now scheduled to be submitted by December 15, 1982. Transamerica Delaval, supplier of the diesel generators, has informed us in a le tter da ted August 20, 1982, that a modlf ted version of the valve in ques tion has passed selsmic qualtfLcation. Transamerica Delaval's vendor, Wm. Powell Company, is presently working up a schedule for the modLf Leation of existing valves which should he completed by September 24, 1982.
