EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN FOR THE ARMED FORCES RADI0 BIOLOGY RESEARCHINSTITUTE(AFRRI)TRIGAREACTORFACILITY The staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)'has completed its review and evaluation of changes to the Emergency Plan for the AFRRI TRIGA Reactor Facility that you submitted on June 20, 1990 incompliancewith10CFR50.54(q).

The changes were reviewed _against 10 CFR 50.54(q) using guidance criteria found in Regulatory Guide 2.6..NUREG-0849, " Standard Review Plan for the Revier and Evaluation of Emergency Plans for Research and Test Reactors," and -

ANSI Sundard 15.16.

Based on its review, the staff concludes that the changes to the Emergency-Plan for the AFRRI TRIGA Reactor Facility maintains compliance with 10 CFR L Part-50, Appendix E. We have determined that the changes do not decrease l- - the effectiveness of your approved plan, and are, therefore, acceptable. _;
