The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (license R-84, docket 50-170) has completed analysis of planned changes to its " Physical Security Plan for the AFRRI TRIGA Reactor Facility" in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2). These changes are related to the removal of the designation of the entire Institute as a "DoD Restricted Area", and the designation of only the reactor facility areas and several othar critical areas as DoD Restricted Areas.
Our analysis has confirmed that the changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan. This letter and the attached analysis are hereby submitted in compliance with the reporting requiraments of 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2). Also attached is -
one copy of the " Physical Security Plan for the AFRRl TRIGA Reactor Facility".
The attached 10 CFR 50.54(p) analysis and the Physical Security Plan contain DoD Unclassified Controlled Nuclear information (DoD UCNI) and, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790, public disclosure of the details of this analysis and physical security plan is not in the public interest. As such, this material is to be withheld from public disclosure.
