Resumption of operation af ter refueling will require changes to Technical Specificaticas. The changes will be such as to allow operation of the plant with a fresh reload batch and reshuffled core.

OF UNIT 1 OPERATING EXPERIENCE - JANUARY 1982 1/1 At the beginning of this reporting period Unit I was operating at 900 MWe with the reactor at 100% power.

1/3 At 0130 load was decreased to 755 MWe to test main turbine control valves.

Load was increased to capacity (900 MWe) ct 0540, 1/4 At 0300 load was reduced to 800 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser. Load was increased to 900 MWe at 1000 when indications of saltwater leakage disappeared.

1/5 At 2000 load was reduced to 805 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser.

1/6 Increased load to capacity (900 MWe) at 0445 af ter plugging I condenser tube.

1/7 At 2000 load was reduced to 760 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser.

1/8 Load was increased to 900 MWe at 0700 when indicatians of saltwater leakage disappeared.

1/14 At 0300 load was reduced to 760 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser. Af ter plugging I condenser tube resume full load operation (900 MWe) at 1410.

1/16 Decreased load to 695 MWe at 0830 for replacement of 13A traveling screen.

Resumed f ull load operation (900 MWe) at 1520.

1/20 At 2330 load was reduced to 815 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser.

1/21 In' creased load to capacity (900 MWe) at 0530 af ter plugging I condenser tube.

At 2250 load was reduced to 840 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser.

1/22 Located and plugged 3 leaking condenser tubes. Load was increased to capacity (900 MWe) at 2030.

1/31 Decreased load to 720 MWe at 0410 for scheduled maintenance on condensate and heater drain pumps. Resumed full load operation (900 MWe) at 1830. At the end of this reporting period Unit I was operating at 900 MWe with the reactor at 100% power.

1/2 Decreased load to 700 MWe at 0140 to test main turbine control valves and to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser. Increased load to capacity (900 MWe) at 0900 after plugging 2 condenser tubes.

1/4 At 0215 load was reduced to 800 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main conden:,er. After plugging I condenser tube resumed full load operation (900 MWe) at 1100.

1/7 At 0514 load was reduced to 730 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser. Increased load to capacity (900 MWe) at 1350 af ter plugging I condenser tube.

1/14 At 0300 load was reduced to 737 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser. Af ter plugging 2 condenser tubes resumed full load operation (900 MWe) at 1030.

1/15 At 1639 load was reduced to 765 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser and clean condenser water boxes.

1/16 increased load to capacity (895 MWe) at 0830 af ter plugging I condenser tube.

1/17 At 0630 load was reduced to 780 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser.

1/18 Af ter plugging I condenser tube resumed full load operation (900 MWe) at 0015.

1/20 At 1600 load was reduced to 785 MWe to investigate saltwater leakage into the main condenser.

1/29 Af ter plugging I condenser tube resumed full load operation (900 MWe) at 1830.

1/30 Decreased load to 720 MWe at 0610 for traveling screen replacement and repair of 21 heater drain pump. Load was increased to capacity (900 MWe) at 1840.
