SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE Aunust 1997

- The unit began the month at 100% power.

On 08/06/97 at 1715 power was reduced to 89% to perform waterbox eleaning. power was returned to 100% on 08/07/97 at 0200.

On 08/12/97 at 1535 power was reduced approximately 1% to allow removal of a heater drain pump from service for seal leakage repairs. The seal was replaced and power was returned to 100% on 08/14/1997 at 0130.

On 08/19/1997 at 0630 power was reduced to 89% due to fouling (Jellyfish) of the intake screens and subsequent loss of a circulating water pump. The pump was restored and power was returned to 100% at 09$0.

The unit operated at 100% power for the remainder of the month

SUMMARY

OF OPliRATING EXPERIENCE Auuust 1997 The unit began the month at 100%.

On 08/23/97 at 0400 power was reduced to 90% for waterbox cleaning. At 0858 power was further reduced to apptoximately 86% for Main Turbine Valve Testing and plant computer maintenance Power was returned to 90% at 1720 to continue waterbox cleaning. Waterbox cleaning was completed and power was raised to 100% on 08/25/97 at 0250.

The unit remained at 100% power for the remainder of the month, 4
