Welds in t e Essential Cooling Water Zvstem On March 12, 1980, Houston Lighting & Power Company notified your office of an item concerning rejectable indications in the radiographs of the girth welds in the Essential Cooling Water (ECW) System pipe. On November 21, 1980, your office approved a limited reexamination, repair and restart program for ASME Pipe and Pipe Support Welding. These subject ECN welds are included as part of this overall reexamination and repair program. The next report will be submitted to your office by March 26, 1981.
