AECM-80/87, 4/25/80 On March 28, 1980, Mississippi Power & Light Company notified Mr. M. J. Couge of your office of a Potentially Reportable Deficiency (PRD) at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) construction site.
The deficiency concerns design nomographs used in the sizing and selection of hydramotor electrohydraulic actuators. The nomographs and actuators are supplied by ITT General Controls.
Our e.rchitect/ Engineer has co pleted a review of this condition and determined it to be not reportable within their scope of supply.
Details are provided in the attached letter, transmitted to your office as a response to IE Bulletin 80/09.
The evaluation of the cited condition has not been completed by our NSSS vendor. We expect to determine reportability and submit a final report by September 15, 1980.
