OPERATIONS

SUMMARY

The Fort Calhoun Station (FCS) began the month in a refueling outage. On June 1 at 0548 the reactor was taken critical. On June 2 at 0019 the main generator was aligned to the grid. Normal activities related to startup after a refueling outage were conducted. On June 4 the turbine and main generator were removed from service for just over an hour to perform turbine trip checks. The plant returned to 100 percent power on June 7.

SAFETY VALVE OR PORV CHALLENGES/FAILURES No failures or challenges to safety valves or PORVs occurred during the month.
