S.

Pipe Support Baseplate Designs Using Concrete Expansion Anchor Bolts (IEB 79-02)

An inspection of the IEB 79-02 work being performed by Bechtel for APCO was conducetd to verify compliance with IEB 79-02 requirements and licensee commitments.

Calculations for supports SI-R67 and CVCS-A21 were reviewed. It was noted

'

that field revisions to support CVCS-A21 had not been reflected in Bechtel's records. The licensee agreed to insure all field revisions are properly reflected in the Bechtel baseplate analysis.

Supports in the Anxiliary Euilding pipe trenches could not be physically inspected.

To ensure system operability, the piping was verified to be

.

operable by an analysis with the presumption that the supports had failed.

CVCS system problem No.164 was inspected to verify compliance with licensee commitments.

i No items of noncompliance or deviations were noted. Pending completion of licensee commitments and IEB 79-02 requirements, the bulletin shall be left open.

6.

Seismic Analysis for As-Built Safety Related Piping Systems (IEB 79-14)

An inspection of the IEB 79-14 work being performed by Bechtel for APC0 was

'

conducted to verify compliance with IEB 79-14 requirements and licensee commitments. Piping on isometric drawing number 375 of the CVCS system was selected. It was noted that the valve weight and center of gravity used in the piping analysis for valve QV-254 differed from a listing of valve weights and centers of gravity used to check the analysis. Bechtel agreed

.

to reverify the accuracy of the list for valve weights and centers of gravity and correct any possible consequent errors. It was also noted that separate seismic response spectrum curves for OBE and DBE were used. To ensure accuracy of the analysis, 72chtel agreed to sample and check the envelope of the response spectrum curves.

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified. Pending completion of licensee commitments and IEB 79-14 requirements, the bulletin shall be left open.
