Areas Inspected In the period December 8 to December 12, 1980 the inspector acted in the capacity of NRC Resident Inspecto The inspector witnessed preparations for plant startup from a refueling outage followed by startup to 81% reactor power which was reached on December 12, 198 The inspector performed daily observations of control room activity, discussed startup procedures with shift supervisors, reviewed supervisor logs and made twice daily tours of the auxiliary building, turbine building and general site area The inspector witnessed loading of radioactive. waste from the auxiliary building for transport to Barnwell, South Carolina, and witnessed radiation measure ments made by licensee health physics personne Measurements indicated radioactivity levels less than 40 mr below the bed of the truck and less than 2 mr between the truck bed and the truck ca M J. Buzy of NRR Operator Licensing Branch conducted operator requalifi cation testing during this period, and discussed the operator training program with those present at the exit interview.
