Summar of Meetin Held on June
1979 Representatives of Florida Power and Light Company met with Region II and NRR staff personnel at Atlanta, Georgia, to discuss specific current areas of concern.
The meeting was held at the request of the NRC.
Subjects discussed involved the results of the Quality Assurance Inspection conducted March 12-16 and 19-21, 1979, which is contained in Inspection Report Nos. 50-250/79-11 and 50-251/79-11.
Specific concerns in the area of management control systems and the implementation of those systems were highlighted during the meeting.
The need for adequate procedural and administrative controls, generic application of corrective actions imple-mented in deficient areas, and timeliness in implementing corrective actions were stressed.
The FP&L representatives were given presentations by NRC staff members from the Operations Branch.
These presentations generally summarized inspection findings at the Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 facilities and expounded on the concerns identified above.
The presentations were given informally, allowing FP&L representatives the opportunity to discuss any aspects of the NRC inspection findings and identified concerns.
FP&L representatives acknowledged the NRC concerns and indicated that corrective action would be implemented in the areas identified.
