During power operation of Units 1 and 2, at 0820 hours0.00949 days <br />0.228 hours <br />0.00136 weeks <br />3.1201e-4 months <br /> on December 17, 1987, a limiting condition for operation (LCO) was established to permit the removal from service of the fire suppression sprinkler header in the units' common Radiological Waste Control System waste drumming room. This was done to allow replacement of the header flow switch 2-FP-FS-4059. During installation of a replacement switch, the switch housing was inadvertently cracked which prevented use of the device. Due to unavailability of an additional switch in the plant supply system, the 14-day time frame of the subject LCO was exceeded on December 28, 1987.
The subject flow switch has been repaired and was returned to service at 1400 hours0.0162 days <br />0.389 hours <br />0.00231 weeks <br />5.327e-4 months <br /> on February 21, 1988.
