Nuclear Regulatory Commission Subject Docket No. $0-482: Revised Schedule for Completion of Corrective Action Gentlement The purpose of this letter is to provide a revised schedule for the completion of corrective actions identified in Licensee Event Report (LER) 91-007-00. The referenced letter transmitted LER 91-007-00 concerning an inadequate inservice testing (IST) procedure used to perform certain valve testing at_ Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS).

As part of the cot.ectiv6 actions associated with' this event Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) connnitted to undertake a complete technical review of IST procedures to ensure their technical adequacy and compliance with the ASHE Code.

Specifically, WCNOC committed to review procedures for refueling IST activities prior to the fifth refueling outage and to complete the review of otNr IFT _ procedures by_ Harch 31, 1992._- The review of refueling IST procedures vas-completed as sch9duled prior to the beginning of the fifth refueling _ outage in September, 1991. The schedule for review of the remaining IsT procedures has, however, been delayed and will not be completed by Harch 31, 1992.

The delay in this effort is primarily due to the unexpected duration of the refueling outage and a subsequitnt forced outage which is currently ongoing.

The refueling outage was originally scheduled to be completed by November 1991. Unforet.een problems resulted in a delay in the completion of the refueling outage until January 19, 1992. An unscheduled outage began on February 19, 1992.'and continued through March 27, 1992. Additionally, the review of valve testing procedures will include recent irdustry evet.ts that have a potential to impact valve testing at VCGS.

review. The review of IST pump procedures will be completed by March 31, 1992 with ne necessary procedure changes being completed by May 31 1992.
