Docket No. 50-482: Licensee Event Report 1999-006-01 Gentlemen The enclosed Licensee Event Report (LER) 1999-006-01 is being submitted, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.73 (a) (2) (1) (B) , regarding Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's identification of failure to enter the LCO for Technical Specification 3.6.1.1 while taking containment atmosphere samples during power operation.

The original Licensee Event Report (1999-006-00) was submitted by the Reference. The enclosed supplemental report provides clarification of the basis for reportability of this issue and of corrective actions to be taken to prevent recurrence of this event. It also reports an additional failure to enter the LCO for Technical Specification 3.6.1.1 for a second containment penetration under similar circumstances and root cause of the first event.

Attachment I to this letter identifies one new action committed to by Wolf Creek Nuclear > Operating Corporation in the enclosed LER, and revisions to the actions committed to in LER 1999-006-00.
