Dear Administrative Judges:
In the prehearing conference order issued by this Licensing Board on December 3,1986, the period for discovery was to commence on December 15, 1986 and close thirty days after issuance of the Staff's Safety Evaluation Report and Final Environmental Statement. At the prehearing conference held on October 21, 1986, the NRC staff indicated that it believed that the Safety Evaluation Report and Final Environmental Statement would be ready for issuance by the end of February,1987. Based on current in-formation the NRC staff now advises the Licensing Board that these two doc-uments will not be ready for issuance by the end of February, but will more likely be issued by the end of March,1987.
We will keep the Licensing Board and parties advised if there is any further change in this schedule.
