Dear Ms. Lakin:

On behalf of the staff of the United States Nuclear Regulation Commission, I would like to express our appreciation for the outstanding support your staff provided for the recent public meeting we held at the Eureka inn on the decommissioning of the Humboldt Bay Power Plant. It was an important meeting for us that dealt with an issue of suostantial public interest.

All of your staff were responsive to our needs for metting room accommodations, lodging, and unforseen last minute support requirements such as the message center function performed by your front desk when our group plans were disrupted by bad weather at the j airport and we needed a makeshift way to communicate with each other. Particularly, noteworthy throughout the planning and execution of our meeting was the support provided by Ms. Busie Seely. Her timely, informative, and responsive communications with the NRC staff on such diverse issues as meeting room setup details and the arrangement of lodging for up to 14 people was a primary factor in our meeting being a success.
