Maine Yankee Inservice Inspection and Inservice Testing Programs for the Third Inspection Interval Gentlemen:

Enclosed are both the Inservice Inspection and Inservice Testing Programs for the' third 120 month inspection interval. Both programs, as per 10CFR50.55a, are required to be updated at 10-year intervals to reflect the latest edition and addenda of the ASME code in addition to pertinent NRC guidance. Both programs require submission to the NRC for review and are included as Attachments A and B to this letter. Please note that both programs are effective as of January 28, 1993.

In addition tc these two programs, Maine Yankee is responding to the NRC requests as identified in Appendix A of the Technical Evaluation Report included as part 'of Reference (c). These responses have been previously discussed with members of the staff. The responses are included as Attachment C to this letter.

Additionally, a description of the process used in developing the Inservice Testing Program, as requested by Reference (c), is provided in section 1.6 of Attachment B.
