Indian Point Units No. I and 2 Physical Security Plan - Revision 18 Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), enclosed is a controlled copy of the Indian Point Units No. I and 2 Physical Security Plan, Revision No.18.

Revision No.18 pertains to an access control upgrade which adopts Biometric Hand Geometry. The Commission has issued an exemption, dated November 1, 1995, relating to the issuance, storage and retrieval of combined picture badges / key cards for certain non-employees who have been granted unescorted access to the Protected Areas ofIndian Point Units 1 and 2.

In accordance with 10 CFR Sections 2.790 (d) and 73.21, correspondence and reports to and from the NRC which relate to the physical protection of a licensed  !

power reactor are exempt from disclosure. We understand, therefore, that the  !

enclosure to this letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will I

receive limited distribution. i Upon receipt of the controlled copy, please return the previous revision (17) or a letter of acknowledgment for its destruction.
