Docket Nos. 50-498 and 50-499dk

Dear Administrative Judges:

The Staff undertook to reply to an affidavit of the Applicants concerning the hurricane missile contention and the organization for operation of the South Texas Plant by March 4,1986. On February 28, 1986, we sent you our i affidavit dealing with the hurricane missile contention. We have not yet completed our affidavit on Applicants' organization for operation, but hope to have it to you by March 17, 1986.

It is hoped that this schedule meets your convenience and will be approved by the Board. Approval of this schedular change, of course, will also necessitate that intervenor's time to respond to these affidavits be extended.

l Sincerely,

,[ .
