l On November 17,1998, the STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) had a phone call with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regarding STPNOC's July 28,1998, proposed amendment regarding operator action to reduce the steam generator power-operated relief.
l valve setpoint consistent with the revised small break loss-of-coolant accident analysis for the replacement Delta-94 steam generators. The NRC staff asked several preliminary questions and indicated that more information would probably be needed to be submitted on the docket j
regarding Attachment 3 of the application, specifically for Information Notice 97-78 Guidelines 1, 4, 7, 8 and 9.
3 In response, STPNOC volunteered to provide the attached draft information to assist NRC in its review. The NRC staff will consider the information and provide feedback to STPNOC on what portions of it need to be submitted on the docket, or if other issues need to be addressed on the
' docket.
The purpose of this memorandum is to place the attachment in the public document room.
