Washington, D.C. 20555 4Ell Re: Opposition to Shoreham Nuclear Plant in Long Island I

/

Dear Mr. Palladino,

The impending threat of the Shoreham Nuclear plant going "on line" is yet another affront to the beleagured taxpayers of Suffolk County. The cost increase that will have to be borne by the residents are a result of poor management and inefficiency on the part of LILCO - not to mention the inherent danger implicit in a structure such as Shoreham

- namely, our entire drinking water system would be contaminated, our Homeowners Insurance policies would not be valid, local vegetable and food crops would be unfit to eat.

The state must not allow the licensing of the Shoreham nuclear' plant. As a tax-paying constituent of the Suffolk '

County area I want to be kept apprised of what action you will be taking to prevent this disaster.

Sincerely, ,

cbucz(, Of]h: *Y Anne Belleville f
