1. Initiative Taken Although not included in our ?itness for Duty Program, as a precaution, fif ty-seven membern of the tug boat crews bringing the Shoreham fuel to Eddystone, Pennsylvania were tested for i drugs and alcohol between Septe mber and December,1993. There i were no results which were positive. Crew members will be l randomly tested when fuel shipments resume. l
2. Effectiveness Evaluation l An audit of the Fitness for Duty Program at Shoreham concluded that the program is being effectively implemented.

During this reporting period, there were no instances of '

l finding drugs or alcohol in the secured area of the site. In addition, there were no allegations regarding drug or alcohol use.

It is concluded that the Fitness for Duty Program continues to i be effective in meeting its objective of maintaining a safer, drug and alcohol free work environment.

3. Data Analysis and Actions During this period, one positive random drug test occurred for one individual. In addition, there were two pre-access positive drug tests. This total number is consistent with the previous reporting period.

The actions taken during this period for the positive test results were as follows:

  • Contractor positive random drug test - unescorted access was revoked for the individual, o Contractor positive pre-badge drug tests (2 individuals) - access to Shoreham was denied.
