1 South Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Bean to Colurn Connection Design in the Reactor Containment Building By letter dated February 5,1982, Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) notified your office that HL&P would submit the supplenental infornation regarding the bean to column connection design in the Reactor Containnent Building (RCB) by August 23, 1982. Our February 5,1982 letter was in response to a lette fron your Mr. W. C. Seidle regarding HL&P's " Final Report Concerning Bean to Colunn Connection Design in the Reactor Containnent Building". The current transition schedule identifics that the re-analyses by Brown & Root, Inc. (B&R) will be transnitted to HL&P duiing August,1982.

Once received by HL&P, the subject infornation will be turned over to Bechtel Power Corporation (BPC) for their review as part of the transition process.

Once the review by BPC is conpleted, BPC will provide HL8P with recorrended corrective actions as necessary. The requested information regarding this iten is expected to be subnitted to your office by Decenber 17, 1982.
