Subject:

Letter RA 08-0037, dated April 28, 2008, from R. D. Flannigan, WCNOC to USNRC Docket No. 50-482: Correction to Wolf Creek Generating Station 2007 Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report Gentlemen:

The reference submitted the Wolf Creek Generating Station 2007 Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report, for the period of January 1 to December 31, 2007.Subsequent to the submittal of this report it was discovered that an error exists in the report. It was discovered that Table A-3 control limits did not match control limits specified on Attachment A "Acceptance Criteria For Spiked Samples." The vendor corrected the control limits and added a footnote that the limits are 2 sigma; not 1 sigma as identified on Attachment A. A sample by sample comparison of control limits displayed on Table A-3 to the 2 sigma values listed on Attachment A was performed and it was noted that for Ni-63 the limit was not+/- 15% as specified on Attachment A. The vendor was contacted and the vendor corrected Table A-3. The corrected table was validated and provided for revision to the original report. To correct this error Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) has enclosed the corrected pages of the report (Table A-3 of Appendix A, "Interlaboratory Comparison, Program Results")

to replace those originally submitted.

WCNOC regrets any inconvenience this error and its correction may have caused. This letter contains no commitments.

If you have any.-questions concerning this matter, please contact me at (620) 364-4117, or Diane Hooper at (620) 364-4041.Sincerely, Richard D. Flannigan RDF/rlt Enclosure cc: E. E.
