Evaluation of Pressurized Thermal Shock for McGuire Unit 1, WCAP-13948 Dear Sir Please find attached a copy of the following Westinghouse report: WCAP-13518, " Evaluation of Pressurized Thermal Shock for McGuire Unit 1". This report is provided pursuant to the regulatory requirements of 10 CFR 50.61(b)(1).
The purpose of this report is to determine the RT n, values for the McGuire Unit i reactor vessel. As discussed within the Westinghouse report, all the RTn, values currently remain below the NRC Pressurized Thermal Shock screening values, and are projected to remain below this criterion at the end of the license for Unit 1 (32 EFPY).
A similar report of the evaluation that was performed for Unit 2 was submitted by a letter dated January 27, 1992.
