Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station FirstEnr~ Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449-9760 Docket No. 50-346 License No. NPF-3 Serial No. 3097 October 14, 2004 United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 Monthly Operating Report, September 2004 Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 Ladies and Gentlemen:

Enclosed is a copy of the Monthly Operating Report for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station for the month of September 2004.

Also, please find enclosed a revision to the August 2004 Monthly Operating Report, Operating Data Report page. The update is due to a discrepancy discovered in the time for the August 4, 2004, reactor trip that was used to calculate the number of hours the reactor was critical for the month. This discrepancy resulted in a change from the Number of Hours the Reactor Was Critical for the month from 668.8 hours9.259259e-5 days
0.00222 hours
1.322751e-5 weeks
3.044e-6 months
to 668.7 hours8.101852e-5 days
0.00194 hours
1.157407e-5 weeks
2.6635e-6 months
. The Year to Date and Cumulative hours the reactor was critical were also updated accordingly.

Please direct questions to Brian D. Boles, Manager - Plant and Equipment Reliability, at (419) 321-7302.
