3.2UnitMaintenanceSuervisorTheUnitMaintenanceSupervisorsintheMaintenanceDepartmentareresponsiblefordirectsupervisionthroughtheAssistantMaintenanceSupervisorsofmaintenancepersonnelassignedtoastationunit.TheyreceiveworkassignmentsdirectlyfromtheStationSuperintendentandtechnicalandadministrativeguidancefromtheSiteMaintenanceSuperintendents.MaintenanceemployeesareassignedtotheAssistantMaintenanceSupervisorsbytheElectricalorMechanicalMaintenanceSuperintendentsasrequired.TheyareresponsiblethatallmaintenanceisperformedinaccordancewithapprovedproceduresandthatmaterialsusedforrepairandmaintenanceofsafetyrelatedsystemsarecertifiedforusewiththosesystemsasprovidedinAdministrativeProcedures.The~MaintenanceSupervisorsineachunitareassistedbyMaintenanceCoordinatorsandMaintenanceEngineersasrequired.MaintenanceSupervisorsarealsoresponsiblethatworkperformedundertheirsupervisionisperformedbyqualifiedpeopleandthattherulesandproceduresforindustrialsafetyandradiationprotectionarefollowedbyallpersonnelundertheirsupervision.3.3UnitSupervisorChemistryandUnitSupervisorRadiationProtectionTheUnitSupervisorsandTechnicalSpecialistsforChemistryandRadiationProtectionareresponsibleforthedirectsupervisionofallworkperformedbyChemistryandRadiochemistry,andRadiationProtectionTechnicians..Theyareresponsiblethatpersonsworkingunder-theirdirectionarequalifiedforthetasksassignedandthattherulesandproceduresforindustrialsafetyandradiationarefollowedbyallpersonsundertheirsupervision.TheyreceiveworkassignmentsfromtheStationSuperintendentandtechnicalandadministrativeguidancefromtheSupervisorChemistryandRadiationProtection.TheUnitSupervisorRadiationProtectionisresponsibletotheStationSuperintendentthatproperpostingandaccesscontrolisprovidedforallradiation,highradiationandcontaminationareas,andthatallsampling,surveys,andsurveillanceperformedunderhissupervisiononsafetyrelatedsystemsiscompletedasscheduledinaccordancewithapprovedprocedures.TheUnitSupervisorChemistryisresponsibletotheStationSuperintendentthatallprocesssamplingandchemistryrelatedsurveillanceandlaboratoryworkislikewisecompletedasscheduledandinaccordancewithapprovedprocedures.TheUnitSupervisorsandTechnicalSpecialistsmaybeinterchangeaasdesiredbytheSupervisorChemistryandRadiationProtectiontoincreasethedepthoftheirexperience.WhenneededthereshallalwaysbeseparatesupervisorsconcentratingonChemistryorRadiationProtection.AP-1.2-3November1984 f
3.4UnitInstrumentandControlSuervisorThesupervisorresponsiblefozthedirectsupervisionofallinstrumentandcontrol.personnelassignedtoastationunitreceivesworkassignmentsfromtheStationSuperintendentandtechnicalandadministrativeguidancefromtheSiteinstrumentandControlSupervisor.TheUnitSupervisorZ&CisassistedbyAssistantSupervisorsI&CandI&CCoordinatorasrequired.Personssupervisingtheworkofinstrumentandcontroltechniciansazeresponsiblethatallworkisperformedbypeople,qualifiedfortheworkassignedandthattherulesandproceduresforindustrialsafetyandradiationprotectionarefollowedbyallpersonnelforwhichtheyazeresponsible.3.5UnitReactorAnalsisSuervisorTheUnitReactorAnalystSupervisorandtechniciansprovidetechnicaldirectionforallmattersrelatingtothereactorcore.TheyreceivetechnicalandadministrativeguidancefromtheReactorAnalystSupervisor.4.0SHXPTORGANZZATXONTheminimumstaffingofeachshiftshallbeasgiveninTechnicalSpecifications.Detaileddutiesofpersonnelduringnormalshiftoperationsaredescribedinthefollowingparagraphs.TheadministrationofoperationsisdescribedinAP-4.0.4.1StationShiftSuervisor(SSS)TheStationShiftSupervisorisinchargeofalloperationsonhisshift.WhentheGeneralSuperintendent,StationSuperintendent,OperationsSupez'intendentortheirdesigneesareoffsite,theStationShiftSupervisorassumesfullresponsibilityforhisstation.UnderthegeneraldirectionoftheSuperintendentOperationsNuclear,theStationShiftSupervisor'sfunctionincludesdirectionofshiftactivities,authorizationforreleaseofequipmentformaintenance,ensuringthattheplantisoperatedsafelyandwithinthelicenseandTechnicalSpecifications.Heshallensurethatalloperationsazeconductedaccordingtoapprovedprocedures.TheStationShiftSupervisorsha11holdanNRCSeniorReactorOperator(SRO)Licenseandshallbecontinuouslypresentatthestationforthedurationofhisassignedshiftuntilproperlyrelieved.AP-1.2AJanuary1986
4.2AssistantStationShiftSuervisor(AS)TheAssistantStationShiftSupervisorshallbequalifiedastheShiftTechnicalAdvisorandshallinadditionholdanNRCSeniorReactorOperators(SRO)License.DuringnormaloperatingconditionshemaybeassignedtoanydutieswhichrequireanSROwithinthescopeoftheTechnicalSpecifications.DuringoffnormaleventsitisexpectedthattheASwillprovidetheSSSwithanassessmentofstationconditionsandrecommendedactionstoterminateormitigatetheconsequencesofoffnormalconditions.4.3ChiefShift0eratorCSO)TheChiefShiftOperatorisinchargeoftheoperationofthecontrolroomsubjecttothegeneralsupervisionof,theAssistantStationShiftSupervisororStationShiftSupervisor.Heexercisesdirectsupervisionovertheassignedoperatorsonshift.Promhisposition,heisabletocontrolthestartingandstoppingofallma)orpiecesofequipmentandthecontrolofthereactorandturbine.Healsohastheabilitytoopenandclosethema)orpowerboardbreakersintheplantaswellasthelinebreakersintheswitchyard.Besidesthemanymetersandannunciatorsy&computerisavailablewhichautomaticallyprintsoutalarmsforoff-normalconditionsandplantoperatingdata.Heisthekeymanindeterminingthatengineeredsafeguardsperformasrequiredintheeventofaloss-of-coolantaccident'orotherabnormalincidents.HeshallholdaNRCReactorOperatorLicense.4.4NuclearAuxiliaOperatorETheNuclearAuxiliaryOperatorEonshiftprovidesoperationalattendancetotheplantequipment.HeshallperformallevolutionswiththeconcurrenceoforatthedirectionoftheChiefShiftOperator.Inaddition,asrequired,heisresponsiblefortheoperationofthemainturbo-generatorunitandrelatedequipmentfromthecontrolroomandperformsswitchingintheswitchyard.Heshallh'oldanNRCReactorOperatorLicense.WhenactingfortheChiefShiftOperator,asprincipalreactoroperator,heshallassumetheshutdownandsafeoperationauthorityandresponsibilitiesoutlinedfortheChiefShiftOperator.4.5OtherOperatorsTheotheroperatorsatthestationprovideoperationalattendancetothestationequipmentonshift.Theirdutiesshallincludecheckingtherotatingofequipment,checkingtheoperationofthescreenhouse,andhandlingthedutiesofthesolidandliquidwastesystems.TheyshallperformalloperationswiththeconcurrenceoforatthedirectionoftheChiefShiftOperator,orwhensoassignedatthedirectionoftheRadwasteOperationsSupervisor.AdditionaldutiesincludetaggingtheequipmentatthedirectionoftheC.S.O.,performingelectricalswitchingintheplantandminormechanicalandelectricalmaintenance.AP-1.2-5November1984 0
